MIRA MECULE - MAMAQI

Music and noise formulator / Editor.

She was born in Tirana on December 9, 1947. She graduated from the Artistic High School "Jordan Misja" for music and on September 12, 1966 she started working as an editor at the Kinostudio "Shqiperia e Re". She worked in this position in the films "Ngadhenjim mbi vdekjen" (1967), "Plage te vjetra" (1969), "Lugina e pushkatareve (Valley of the Riflemen)" (1970). After that she switched  as a music formulator in chronicle and documentary films. She made a large number of films, constantly specializing and becoming a master in her profile. For the musical formulation in the documentary film "Nje qytet ne telajo (A city on canvas)" she was honored with the Medal of the Festival of 7th Documentary Film. In parallel, she formulated music, noises and various sound effects in a considerable number of cartoons and was awarded for the components for the cartoon "Magic Flower" (1985). From 1985 to 1992 she made 20 feature films: "Nga mesi I erresires (From the middle of darkness)" - 1978; "Militanti (The Militant)" - 1984; "Nata e pare e lirise (The First Night of Freedom)" - 1984; "Dasma e shtyre (Delayed Wedding)" - 1985; "Guret e shtepise sime (The stones of my house)" - 1985; "Dy here mat (Check mate twice)" - 1986; "Dhe vjen nje dite (And one day comes)" - 1986; "Kur hapen dyert e jetes (When the doors of life open)" - 1986; "Nje jete me shume (One more life)" - 1986; "Eja (Come)" - 1987; "Tela per violine” (Strings for a violine)" - 1987; "Flutura ne kabinen time (Butterfly in my cabin)" - 1988; "Stola ne park (Benches in the park)" - 1988 "; "Njerez ne ryme (People in the Stream)" - 1989; "Nje djale dhe nje vajze (A boy and a girl)" - 1990; "Pas fasades " - 1992; "Plumbi prej plasteline (Plasticine bullet) " - 1996.

Notice please: We do not have any information beyond 2002 and we have also not been able to find any photos of Mrs. Mira Mecule - Mamaqi although it is a popular name in the formulating music. However, the purpose of this site is not to ignore and leave in oblivion any name from our artists as long as we have the opportunity to remember them, always based on the information gathered.
