After graduation, Viktor Zhusti was appointed director of the Cultural Center in Gjirokastra where he stayed until 1971. After this year he was appointed lecturer of "Artistic Speech" at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, where he worked until v. 1997, the year that dates back to his departure for Greece. Viktor Zhusti, with a Greek mother and an Albanian father, feels connected to Albania, where "since I was two years old I first learned the Albanian language", he said. His roles in film and theater are diverse. He played the tough partisan, but also the compassionate father, the young man in the face of dilemmas, but also the lover, who tries to overcome prejudices. For the time Viktor Zhusti was one of the most sought after actors before the '90s - when the Albanian Cinematography was in full bloom. Stand out in the role of Alber in the comedy "Shi ne plazh (Rain on the beach)" a masterpiece that has resisted time. But previously in the year 1981 on the stage of the “Teatri Popullor” gave life the Besimi role in the drama "Communists" by Ruzhdi Pulaha, between which he embody with heroic and elegiac tones the figure of Qemal Stafa "Hero of the Albanian People".

One of the impressive figures of the actor V. Zhusti on the theater stage was that of Sami in "Mesuesi I letersise (The Teacher of Literature)" (1982) by R. Pulaha. In the film he has played about 10 main roles. He started his career in 1966 in "Komisari i drites" in the role of Mark Dedina, continuing with "Malet me blerim mbuluar" that of the partisan Jaho. Then in movies like "Nentori i dyte (The Second November)", "Taulanti kerkon nje moter (Taulant is looking for a sister)" (in the role of the father, Pirro). Another role of the father, in "Kur xhirohej nje film", to continue with the role of Llano Bleta in "Dhe vjen nje dite (And one day comes)", one of his culmination of the one with whom he presented a figure, the process of alienation of the official in power , his dilemmas and objections. Returns after almost 20 years on the stage of the “National Theater” with the role of a "sick" patient in the comedy "Te gjithe me huqe" (2009). Viktor Zhusti with the weight of life's worries on his shoulders, is no longer the "naughty boy" that the late director Prokop Mima insisted on interpreting what became his first childhood role Viktor Zhusti wants to returns to the spectators but this time his projects are aimed only at the theatrical genre. In the Albanian scene, he is remembered as a performer with a fast character, high rhythm and temperament, of a rational nature.
