Spiro Urumi (1928 - 1997)
Actor of the Theater “Aleksander Moisiu ”- Durres.

Born in Durres, on February 28. He graduated from the high school of acting in "Aleksander Moisiu" Tirana, in 1963 and then was appointed to the theater "A. Moisiu ” of Durres, working in this institution until he retired. He has played on the stage of this theater over 80 roles, mostly major, but also supporting roles as well as characters.
He used with the same success both the means of expression for the incarnation of characters with dramatic bearing, psychological and heroic accents, as well as those related to the incarnation of comic characters. Successfully performed in the plays "Martesa” (Marriage), "Noble Bourgeois" (Borgjezi fisnik), "The Prefect", (Prefekti), "Ljobov Jaravaja", "Seagull" (Pulebardha), "Over the Ruins" (Mbi germadha), "The Commissars Time" (Koha e komisareve), "Captain George Statue" (Statuja e kapitenit Xhorxh), "Beyond Love" (Pertej dashurise)," Koste Bardhi`s Mill " (Mulliri i Koste Bardhit)," Fisherman's Family " (Familja e peshkatarit), "Albanian Covenant " (Beselidhja shqiptare),"Dun spots" (Njolla te murme),"Plat of war” (Gersheti i luftrave) etc.
The strong body and voice , the sensitivity and deep experience of the role, the energy and temperament that reach to the unrestrained and neurotic impulses in the key points of the dramatic conflict, were obvious features of his acting. In the drama "Mill of Koste Bardhi" by N. Prifti, Spiro Urumi gave the figure of the miller Koste a visible severity of action and behavior, where he drew attention to the emotional wealth, temperament and truthfulness in the life of the character. Selimi in S. Pitarka's "Fisherman's Family" presented all the necessary antagonism, which increased the dramatic tension of the play, while the great figure of Sulejman Vokshi in the drama "Albanian covenant" - 1979 by S. Krasniqi interpreted it in the planes of epic and sublime, avoiding the sides external. Although a dramatic actor,

He passed away on December 13, 1997. Holds the title "Merited Artist"
