Director, actor.
One of the topics of this site is "Meteors of the scene", with the aim of extracting from the "dust" of oblivion a part of those of our actors who for the fact itself, despite their interpretive ability, have had a short career just like the illumination and journey of a meteor! This category also includes director / actor Lisenko Malaj.
He was born in Vlora on December 3, 1953. Graduated in dramatic arts at the
High Institute of Arts in Tirana. Initially starred in I. Zhabjak's comedy
"Carnival" (1980). In 1982, he worked as an assistant with the
directors Esat Musliu, Kristaq Dhamo, Dhimiter Anagnosti, Spartak Pecani, etc.
respectively in some films such as "The Road to Freedom" 1982, "The
Trap" 1983, "Decision" - 1984, "Stones of my house" -
1985, "Not to be silent" -1985. His first film as a director was
"Three Days from one Life" - 1986. The film "Mission across the
sea" - 1988 was his most successful film. In 1992 he shot the film
"Death of a Man" which will be his last. After 1992 he emigrated with
his family to Italy. For the realization of the documentary film "Spring
two steps closer" - 1985, he was awarded the Third Prize at the 6th
Festival of Documentary and Cartoon Film. Other films as director: "Shpresa"
- 1988, where he also acts as an actor, "Cave of Pirates" - 1990. He passed away on march 4, 2018.
